Notes: "Kealakekua Bay" is south of Kailua Kona, where Captain Cook first met the Hawai'ians.
The area near Cook's Monument is THE most incredible snorkeling spot in the world.
"Rocks and Sea Spray" is at Hapuna Beach.
"Palms" and "Onomea Bay" were both painted at one of Margaret Stanton's most inspirational
spots, the 4 mile scenic drive to the lookout and Botanical Gardens at Onomea Bay.
"Onekahakaha Beach" is in Keaukaha, a district of Hilo. The "Red Road" is a beautiful,
almost magical coastline road in the Puna district. "Mauna Kea" was painted at Hilo Bay with a
view towards the majestic Mauna Kea, the tallest mountain in the world (from ocean floor to top). |
